ARSENAL INTERESTED IN ROMA STRIKER

Arsenal are interested in AS Roma striker Patrik Schick. According to reports from Italian tabloid Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners have asked about Schick. Roma are ready for talks over a possible transfer but would want nothing less than €25 million.

Schick is on loan at Bundsliga side RB Leipzig in the second half of the season but they are not expected to trigger his release clause hence the negotiation with Emirates Stadium. He will return to Roma at the end of the season. The player has also revealed that he will talk to his representatives at the end of the season before he made his next decision about his future.

Arsenal have also made an enquiry about another Roma youngster Justin Kluivert. The young striker who is the son of Ajax’s legendary striker Patrick Kluivert is rated highly in Rome. The young striker joined Roma from Ajax in 2018. He has failed to reach the level expected of him since he made his move, but the club still has faith in the player.

According to former Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner, Schick would suit Arsenal. He believes he has enough quality to play for the club. Roma are eager to find a new place for the player and it seems the Gunners really want him this summer. There is still no concrete word from duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette regarding their contract. Schick is one of the potentials if they exit. Schick is regarded as a decent forward and capable of developing into a quality forward.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for on loan midfielder Henri Mkhitaryan. Roma want the player to remain with them and they will enter negotiation with Arsenal. A swap deal between Schick and Mkhitaryan is also a possibility.
